Network Based Prediction of Protein Function
Research Description
Modern biological techniques are rapidly generating enormous volumes of data, ranging from protein structures to DNA sequence to gene expression quantification, and much more. Generically and automatically integrating these diverse data types is essential to discovering ever more subtle and complex relationships amongst the data. This project aims to integrate data from several different sources and apply it to the prediction of protein function leading to a greater understanding of cellular processes with fewer laborious and costly protein isolation and characterization assays, speeding further biomedical advances.
